Yulia Ryabukhina

Yulia Vladimirovna Ryabukhina, the head of the Chair of Foreign Languages of ITMO University, graduated from St. Petersburg State University where she got her PhD degree in the History of the English Language, and later was a visiting post-graduate student of the University of Oxford where she concentrated on text and discourse studies. Yulia V. Ryabukhina teaches General and Academic English as well as English for Specific Purposes. She also has more than 20 years of experience of English-Russian and Russian-English translating and interpreting. At present, her research interests include methods of teaching foreign languages, Discourse Studies, Marketing and Management, Assessment Methods in teaching foreign languages, Intercultural Communication and Interdisciplinary Approach to teaching foreign languages.
